Mardi Gras 2012

This will definitely go down as my favorite Mardi Gras EVER! I worked at OZ for the week and in between working....the other dancers and I had such a good time. We ate, went to the gym, danced our little hearts out, and utterly stopped traffic Mardi Gras day in our little Indian sarongs and head pieces :-) This is a pic of one of the early shifts at oz on the bar!
One of the other dancers was able to get us a gig at the "Friday Night Before Mardi Gras Ball" as official Kettle one Martini Makers. For this we stood behind a large ice sculpture and poured vodka down a tube in the ice sculpture to make the kettle one martini's...really cool.
And like every year I went to the Krewe of St. Anne Parade. It's and incredibly fun walking parade starting in the Marigny and continuing on to bourbon street! We all wore beaded sarongs and feather or leather masks...it was perfect weather and had that oh so familiar New Orleans charm.
While watching the Bourbon Street Awards I met a lady with the name "seth" tattoed on her clavicle...it was unique I thought....first person I have ever met with my name on them.
We also kept track of some crazy shit we heard people say throughout the weekend....here are some of the silly highlights. I fucking LOVE glitter---- 24 is the new 18---- Hey my friend owns a tanning salon and he can spray you so you are not so pasty white---- There was some thought unless it was totally random--- Its like Yoga but better!--- I'd fuck her so hard you would feel it--- Smell my pits tranny--- That dollar is filthy...my ass is clean--- If you can get it up I can get it going!---here wear these beads they will keep you warm!

Bret Grafton Photography

In late January I spent a weekend in Chicago shooting with Bret Grafton. We did four interesting themes which I won't reveal yet....but I will post a teaser pic. It was a very avant-garde shoot and much different to previous work I have been involved with.

Rough Gods Show Atlanta

Well the Rough Gods Show in Atlanta was amazing! Michael had printed about 75 of his favorite photos and they were displayed and for sale throughout the gallery. The gallery owners did an amazing job setting the ambiance. Light Hors d'oeuvres were served along with wine and select beers. A DJ was also present spinning progressive beats. The show was well attended and most of the time packed. Michael had also made smaller rough gods art by placing jock straps in small jars with a print of one of his photographs attached. Below are some pics of the event. I was fortunate enough to attend and meet and greet many Rough Gods fans.
This was the metal ring I hung out in most of the night as fans came by to say hello.
I thought jock straps in a jar was very clever and made for an interesting presentation.
I also got to try on some exclusive t-shirts by Sold OUT Clothing http://www.soldoutclothing.com/ Michael shot me in one of their cut t-shirts with classic Tom of Finland design on the front.

Several write ups are out about the upcoming show, which will feature several models, prints, and a jockstrap exhibit.

OZ...the land of dance

Starting Feb 16th I will be basically living at OZ for a week. Most of the same dancers will be returning (minus one that will be very much missed) and we have a good group. It should be a blast. I found a gym to workout at while down there for Mardi Gras...and I have a lot of college friends to see and catch up with. Its going to be really nice being home. Doesn't she look pretty all fixed up for Mardi Gras!?

Lucky Charms Cereal

I have never liked cereal. I always thought it was dumb. Boxed crap...I always said to myself. My mom did not buy cereal growing up...we always had deer sausage, eggs, and biscuits for breakfast. However about a month ago I did a photo shoot where I was lying naked on sheet covered in Lucky Charms. This required boxes upon boxes of lucky charms. When it was all said and done I had so many lucky charms leftover. So I kept em...thinking worst case scenario I would eat them in a pinch. Well I think I have fallen head over heels for Lucky Charms. They are so damn good. I don't even have milk I just pour them out of the bag into my mouth...its like little pieces of heaven. This makes me wonder what else on the cereal end foods am I missing...are other cereals just as good?

In my spare time....

About 5 years ago I bought this little house in raleigh that needed some TLC. When I am not traveling or working I like to get creative and do projects at home. I made a little highlight video of some of the things I have built/remodeled around my house. Its been a lot of fun. I would encourage anyone who is thinking of buy a home to just do it. It's a lot of fun having the freedom to make any changes you want. I can't even begin to count the number of home depot trips I have made or the evenings I have passed out in pure exhaustion from working on stuff but its all worth it. These days I sit back at home and enjoy the comforts of my creations.

Tampa Weekend

This past weekend I went to Tampa with two good friends of mine. We participated and celebrated Gasperilla....a festival honoring Tampa's past with pirates. The weekend was amazing. The dance parties were fun, the parade was cute, and the memories wonderful. My favorite part was actually the time spent in the bed with my friends talking and cuddling and just having some great honest moments. I am very thankful for them.
